Mary Procopio received her doctorate in flute performance from Michigan State University. An active clinician, performer and adjudicator throughout Michigan, Mary has received numerous fellowships and grants to conduct research in Haiti and the United States. She has presented papers and lecture recitals throughout the United States and Canada at regional and national conferences of the College Music Society, the Society for Ethnomusicology, and the Haitian Studies Association. Mary is presently chairperson of the Music Division and instructor of flute at the Flint Institute of Music School of Performing Arts, as well as adjunct flute instructor at the University of Michigan- Flint. She has taught at Michigan State University, the Belvoir Terrace Fine and Performing Arts Center (MA), and the Leocardie and Alexandre Kenscoff Cultural Center and Ecole de Musique Sainte Trinite music camp (Haiti). In 2004 Mary received the Geoffrey Gilbert Memorial Teaching Award from the Florida Flute Association, and in 1998 she was selected to perform in the National Flute Association Professional Flute Choir.
Dessislava Nenova is from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She graduated from Music High School with the award for Academic Excellence and Music Performance. Dessislava holds a MM in music performance from MSU and a BM in music performance from the University of Central Arkansas. She has won competitions in her native Bulgaria as well as in the United States. Dessislava has performed as a soloist with the Plovdiv Philharmony and the University of Central Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. She has been actively performing as a soloist, chamber, and orchestra cellist in Michigan for the last four years. Dessislava currently teaches privately in East Lansing and is the librarian of the Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestra. She is also a member of the Jacson Symphony and Flint Symphony Orchestras.
Tess Miller is currently a performer and flute instructor from the mid-Michigan area. She has enjoyed being the flute instructor at Albion College since 2000 where she teaches Applied Flute Lessons, Woodwind Methods, Music Appreciation, and conducts The Albion College Flute Ensemble. In December 2004, Tess received her DMA in music performance from Michigan State University where she was awarded a graduate assistantship to teach at the college for three years. As an orchestral performer, Tess plays second flute with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra and has also performed with the Lansing, Midland, Jackson, and Battle Creek Symphony Orchestras. Tess is also passionate about performing in chamber ensembles. Aside from her performances as a member with The London Trio, Tess is also Co-Artistic Director of the Mackinac Island Community Foundation Summer Concert Series, in which she actively performs and invites other chamber musicians to participate as well. In 2006, Tess was named the alternate performer in the National Flute Association Young Artist Competition.
